Our partners in providing a Community ID

About the FaithAction ID Program
The FaithAction ID program began in Greensboro, NC, and has since expanded to serve communities across the U.S. The FaithAction ID functions similarly to a state ID by providing verified personal information that can be recognized by authorities. While it is not a government-issued ID and is not universally accepted, the FaithAction ID is recognized in many North Carolina counties—McDowell County proudly among them!
The FaithAction ID provides cardholders with a reliable form of identification that can be used by law enforcement, healthcare centers, schools, nonprofits, businesses, and cultural organizations to better identify, serve, and protect community members. This ID fosters greater dignity and access for cardholders, while also building trust, understanding, and cooperation within the community. In October 2022, the Marion Police Department, along with several local businesses and organizations, officially agreed to accept this community ID as a valid form of identification.
We are honored to offer this program to empower and support our community. Our first ID drive on June 1, 2023, was a great success, with 120 individuals receiving their FaithAction IDs.

This ID is NOT a government issued ID nor a drivers license
